Under the assumptions below, a tenfold share-price return requires about $1.72 billion of annual revenue, a 30% net margin and no more than 35% cumulative share dilution. Its 2026 revenue guidance midpoint is $96.5 million. That is an eighteenfold revenue hurdle before the story becomes a tenbagger.

This is the tension behind our list of ten US-listed and five Korean companies. AI can create a large market. A shareholder still needs the right starting price, a profitable share of that market and enough financing to reach it.

Our first research priorities are Arteris (AIP), PDF Solutions (PDFS) and, conditionally, Innodata (INOD) in the US-listed group; Nextin, ASICLAND and KOSES in Korea. The ranking tells us where to spend diligence time. It is not a portfolio, a set of price targets or a prediction that fifteen stocks will rise tenfold.

The calculations retain the original research’s October 26, 2026 market-cap snapshot. US aggregators update at different times; AOSL’s original input was intraday. Korean figures are rounded. Financial periods are stated separately. Required future revenue is our calculation, not company guidance.

Four tests decide the order

The first screen favored businesses that can lower customer costs: chip interconnect IP, manufacturing data, AI evaluation, security, inspection and data-center connectivity. The second pass asks four questions.

Market capacity: Can the addressable market support the revenue needed for a tenfold return?

Shareholder economics: Can the company retain profit after competition, taxes, interest, recurring compensation and minority interests?

Funding: Can it reach that scale without damaging dilution or refinancing trouble?

Starting price: How much of the successful outcome is already reflected in its market value?

These tests move CEVA and Ambarella above SentinelOne and GitLab. They also move ASICLAND above KOSES, subject to a hard cash check. They leave AIP, PDFS and Nextin near the front, but none passes every test yet.

The arithmetic starts with one share

For a tenfold share-price return:

Required revenue = starting market cap × 10 × future/current share count ÷ terminal P/E ÷ net margin.

A $1 billion company with 25% more shares needs a $12.5 billion future market cap. At 25 times earnings and a 25% net margin, that means $500 million of annual net income and $2 billion of revenue. Dividends, currency moves and investor taxes are outside this calculation.

The central horizon is 2036. US growth hurdles use ten years from the stated 2026 revenue base. Korean hurdles use eleven years from FY2025 revenue. A quarter multiplied by four is a comparison base, not an annual forecast. Terminal margins and multiples are scenario assumptions; several candidates are currently loss-making.

The ten US-listed candidates

All amounts in this table are US$ billions. Assumptions are cumulative share-count growth / net margin / terminal P/E. Calculations use the rounded market caps shown; small differences from the source research reflect rounding.

>INOD and the same provider’s company pages. These are secondary estimates, not perfectly synchronized exchange measurements. ACMR and Camtek are US-listed; their operating exposure is not US-only.

AIP: a royalty opportunity with a demanding margin assumption

More complex chips need better internal data movement. Arteris can earn from design adoption and royalties when customers’ chips enter production. Q2 revenue rose 46% to $24.1 million. Trailing-twelve-month variable royalties rose 65%; ACV plus royalties rose 44%. ACV plus royalties is a company-defined measure, not GAAP revenue or conventional ARR. Arteris results.

Q2 GAAP operating loss was $13.9 million. First-half operating cash less equipment purchases was about $1.26 million, while net ATM share-sale proceeds were $72.55 million. Cash raised from shareholders is not cash earned from customers.

The $1.721 billion revenue hurdle is about 17.8 times the guidance midpoint, or 33.4% annual growth for ten years. A sustained 30% net margin requires a major change from today’s losses. Royalty stagnation, customer insourcing, weaker pricing and repeated issuance would all weaken the case.

PDFS: recurring data revenue must repay equipment investment

PDF Solutions connects manufacturing data to yield improvement. Q2 revenue was $61.529 million, up 19%; backlog was $270.7 million and GAAP operating margin was 8%. Company results.

It also installs equipment at customer sites. First-half operating cash of $18.075 million, less $24.528 million of equipment purchases and $0.054 million of prepayments, leaves approximately negative $6.507 million. This is our simple cash calculation, not a company-defined FCF measure. PDFS 10-Q.

Required revenue is 13.4 times annualized Q2 sales, a 29.6% ten-year growth hurdle. The next evidence should connect recurring revenue, installation cost and payback time. A larger backlog without better cash recovery would lower its priority.

INOD: concentration is established; the customer-growth story is not

Innodata reported Q2 revenue of $92.142 million, about 58% growth, and roughly $14.4 million of GAAP net income. Two customers represented approximately 37% and 34% of revenue, or 71% combined. The opportunity is to move from labor-intensive projects toward repeatable data and evaluation programs. The disclosed mix does not yet prove that transition. Innodata 10-Q.

Multiplying those rounded percentages by total revenue gives about $34.1 million and $31.3 million. Applying the prior-year largest-customer percentage gives about $33.9 million. These are estimates from rounded ratios, not reported customer-level dollar amounts.

That does not establish that the same customer was flat or that one new program caused all growth. Comparing this year’s revenue outside two customers with last year’s revenue outside one customer also cannot establish same-customer growth. Customer identity, comparable prior-period contributions and program economics remain missing.

INOD keeps a conditional third place. Its required $5.493 billion revenue is roughly fifteen times annualized Q2 sales. The next call needs evidence of growth beyond the largest customers, recurring evaluation revenue and cash after pass-through obligations. The call is scheduled for November 5 at 5 p.m. US Eastern, November 6 at 7 a.m. Korea time. US daylight saving time has ended by then. Company event.

The other seven face different obstacles

CEVA: Q2 device shipments rose 16%, but royalties rose only 1%; licensing revenue rose 21%. The test is royalty value per device and a richer AI-IP mix. More low-priced units do not establish the path to a 30% terminal net margin. CEVA results.

Ambarella: Q2 FY2027 revenue rose 13.2% to $108.1 million, but it still reported a GAAP loss. A $9 million one-time reduction in R&D expense following a project termination helped the result. Automotive and robotics design wins need to become recurring production revenue and ordinary profit. Ambarella results.

ACMR: Q2 revenue rose 36% to $292.9 million. Its required $15.2 billion revenue greatly exceeds the company’s $4 billion long-term target. China exposure, export controls, investment gains and minority interests complicate the link from consolidated results to the US parent shareholder. ACMR results.

AOSL: FY2026 revenue fell 2.5% to $678.9 million; GAAP net loss was $42.3 million and operating cash flow was negative. Its lower revenue-growth hurdle still assumes recovery to a 10% net margin. Server-power revenue and repeat orders need to become visible. AOSL results.

SentinelOne and GitLab: Both grew revenue about 21% in their latest reported quarters. Stock-based compensation was approximately 31.5% of revenue at SentinelOne and 26.2% at GitLab. Our cumulative dilution assumptions therefore require restraint over time. Their roughly $19 billion revenue hurdles explain the lower rank: they need to become much larger platforms while competition and bundled AI features pressure monetization. <a class="link" href="https://investors.sentinelone.com/press-releases/news-details/2026/SentinelOne-Announces-Second-Quarter-Fiscal-Year-2027-Financial-Results/default.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener"

Camtek: Q2 revenue was $133.2 million, with year-to-date orders above $600 million for delivery across 2026–27. Required revenue of $10.58 billion is almost twenty times annualized Q2 sales. New applications must add to the advanced-packaging cycle. Year-to-date orders are not current backlog. <a class="link" href="https://www.camtek.com/news-and-events/camtek-announces-results-for-the-second-quarter-of-2026/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"

The company announced a KRW25.44 billion SK hynix equipment contract on October 6, running through November 25, 2027. That annualization is not a forecast, and a 4.4% operating margin does not warrant an IP-licensing margin. <a class="link" href="https://www.asicland.com/news/?bmode=view&idx=173096114" target="_blank" rel="noopener"

The March 2026 convertible bond has KRW45 billion face value and an initial conversion price of KRW31,517. The Q1 filing says the contractual minimum reset price is restricted to at least 80% of the relevant initial conversion price, despite a generic 70% provision in the same table. Holders have a put starting March 23, 2029. On the unadjusted initial price, 80% is about KRW25,214. This is not a claim about the current adjusted conversion price. CB terms.

That resolves one source gap, but not the cash question. FY2025 operating cash was negative KRW6.3 billion and Q1 2026 cash negative KRW8.2 billion. FY2025 investment included property purchases; it should not be projected mechanically as recurring burn. We would remove ASICLAND from the priority group if cash and committed funding cannot cover twelve months of modeled working-capital needs. Latest cash, contract-asset recovery and subsequent CB adjustments still need checking.

KOSES: factory expansion must become repeat business

KOSES had FY2025 revenue of about KRW82.4 billion and net income of KRW13.2 billion. Bloom Energy is named as a customer in its Q1 filing. Market cap is about 6.6 times FY2025 sales, and required revenue is nearly KRW1.39 trillion. A single factory build is insufficient. KOSES Q1 filing.

Repeat lines, services, other customers and collections matter. A July contract has a correction warning on KIND; without the latest amendment, its original amount or delivery date is not treated as current. Using FY2025 net income, KRW542.3 billion divided by KRW13.204 billion gives a P/E of about 41.1 times. A multiple based on a later twelve-month earnings period is a different comparison. <a class="link" href="https://kind.krx.co.kr/common/disclsviewer.do?acptno=20260713000131&docno=&method=search&viewerhost=" target="_blank" rel="noopener"

KINX: contracted megawatts must become cash after leases

KINX’s September IR described 10MW of allocated IT capacity at Gwacheon as contracted, with roughly 50% occupancy in Q2. The 90%-plus occupancy goal for first-half 2028 remains a target. The separate 40MW joint-investment project is a development/build/operate role, not 40MW of wholly owned KINX IT capacity. <a class="link" href="https://company.kinx.net/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/KINX_IR_Book_Kor_260916.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener"

FY2025 operating cash less equipment and intangible purchases was about KRW22.5 billion. Subtracting lease repayments leaves about KRW9.4 billion before minority ownership. Required revenue of KRW1.87 trillion needs multiple projects and better per-share cash generation. <a class="link" href="https://kind.krx.co.kr/external/2026/03/18/001362/20260318006308/11011.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener"

Gigavis’s inspection and repair tools can improve substrate yield. FY2025 revenue was about KRW52.4 billion and net income KRW15.5 billion. A reported KRW46.937 billion equipment contract supports the business case, but its latest original DART text was not independently reopened in this review; we do not identify the customer. <a class="link" href="https://kind.krx.co.kr/external/2026/05/15/001382/20260515003007/11013.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener"

Required revenue is about KRW1.80 trillion, over 34 times FY2025 sales: 37.9% annual growth for eleven years. Wafer/panel-level packaging and glass substrates need actual external revenue. Existing ABF demand alone cannot establish this path.

Credit Suisse’s 2016 Base Rate Book reports revenue-growth distributions for 1950–2015. Exhibit 4 groups companies by starting revenue in inflation-adjusted 2015 dollars. A decade above 30% growth was unusual even in the smallest revenue group.

>Mauboussin, Callahan and Majd, The Base Rate Book, Exhibit 4. These are historical revenue-growth frequencies, not probabilities of a tenfold stock return.

Applying the buckets to today’s selected AI names requires judgment about inflation, starting revenue, industry mix and horizon. Historical cohort frequencies cannot simply become individual stock probabilities or an expected number of future tenbaggers. Revenue growth is only one of the required conditions. Single-digit stock-specific probabilities would imply more precision than the evidence supports.

The useful lesson survives: a decade of 30% growth needs a much stronger case than one good quarter.

Three disappointments can multiply the burden

This sensitivity uses one illustrative starting model, not a particular stock’s full forecast.

Revenue hurdle becomes 3.89× as large

For AIP, doubling shares instead of adding 35% raises required revenue from about $1.72 billion to $2.55 billion. For PDFS and INOD, doubling shares instead of adding 20% raises the hurdles to about $5.50 billion and $9.16 billion. Cumulative dilution of 20–35% over a decade is not automatically conservative.

Why popular AI names are outside this list

This scale check uses the supplied October 26 market-cap estimates. All amounts are US$ billions. It is not a current fair-value judgment. NBIS’s share base is stale and omits subsequent issuance, so its figure is only a lower-bound illustration.

COHR and LITE use an assumed 10% cumulative dilution in this table. Different margins, share counts and multiples change these answers. The scenarios do not prove overvaluation or rule out strong returns; they explain the high bar in this tenfold-return investigation.

Funding adds another obstacle for neoclouds. CoreWeave’s first-half operating cash of $3.663 billion, less $14.117 billion of equipment and software purchases, leaves a simple cash deficit of $10.454 billion. Demand and financing needs can grow together. CoreWeave 10-Q.

VINATech, GAONCHIPS and OPENEDGES remain outside the priority list. Their gaps concern cash and contract economics, starting valuation relative to ASICLAND, and repeat royalties respectively. AEHR and OPENEDGES remain watchlist comparisons. Exclusion is not a sell recommendation or a completed relative-valuation judgment.

Evidence that would change our minds

The next checkpoint is Innodata’s November 5 US call. November 20 is our research review date, not a company event. The Korean cash comparison remains incomplete: Nextin, KOSES and Gigavis have half-year filings, but this article has not completed a fresh reconciliation of those cash-flow statements. Older figures cannot establish current liquidity.

Which assumption would you challenge first: AIP’s eventual 30% net margin, INOD’s customer breadth, or ASICLAND’s funding runway? Pick one, and name the single piece of evidence that would change your view. A filing, a disclosed metric or a comparable case is more useful than a ticker alone.

Research and information only. Not investment advice. AI tools assisted research and editing. Customers not named in filings are not inferred.
